"Like Hell" is a reproduction of a painting that I made for the 2009 "The Panelists" exhibition at Pravus Gallery in Phoenix, Arizona. The show, curated by KRK Ryden, paid tribute to the art of the comic book panel and pop artists like Roy Lichtenstein that popularized the aesthetic. The centerpiece of the exhibition was a wall-sized collaborative comic book story. The story was written by KRK Ryden and each artist was given a panel to visualize. The only direction to the artist were the dialog and dimensions of the final art. My panel involved a conflict between mysterious government operatives and the protagonists. Here are some photos and video that I took prior/during the opening at Pravus Gallery.
"The Panelists" toured around the United States, but it's future is nebulous. "Like Hell" was recreated from photos of the original painting and made available here in a limited edition of 25 signed/numbered 11x17" prints. Each print is shipped rolled in a tube.
