I recently saw an "immersive" version of "Big Trouble in Little China in San Francisco". They showed it at the historic Great Star Theater IN CHINATOWN! I love all John Carpenter films, but Big Trouble is my all-time favorite. It's just so crazy with the pace, the outlandish plot, great character actors, amazing sets and costumes. And the music! It's got it all.
Anyway, it reminded me of this BTILC-inspired drawing that I did in 2008 featuring the "Chinese Wildman" monster from the film driving The Porkchop Express turck a la Ed "Big Daddy" Roth. I re-vamped it a little and now I'm making it available on Threadless as a shirt and in my shop as a print. Get yours today and be the envy of all your friends.
Porkchop Express
The Shirt - from $25 on Threadless
The Print - $25 on my Shop
If you haven't seen the film, I can't recommend it enough, and if you ever get a chance to see it "immersively" IN CHINATOWN, you really should. It was something else.
